Vol C. Ford, III, age 80 of Louisville, KY formerly of Warren, AR passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 in Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born on March 11, 1944 in Dallas, TX to the late Vol C. Ford, Jr. “Skip” and Jane Tonry Ford. He was a warm, welcoming man who loved to share stories. After a successful career as a marking manager, he returned to his beloved hometown, Warren, Arkansas. There he became involved in many organizations including helping to bring Fellowship of Christian Athletes to the school. In his free time, he enjoyed meeting up with old friends & heading to the river.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Norvell Ford whom he married on July 17, 1965 and she passed away on February 18, 2023 and his son-in-law, Adam Miller.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his beloved daughter, Elizabeth “Lee” Ford Miller of Louisville, KY.
Graveside service was held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Oakland Cemetery in Warren, AR. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA; 207 N Main St. Warren, AR 71671.
