Boil Order Lifted for Warren Water and Sewer Customers; Rural Systems Still Affected

WARREN, Ark. – The boil order for Warren Water and Sewer customers has been officially lifted as of January 24, following testing by the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH). Samples collected across the city were analyzed and confirmed to be free of bacteriological contamination.

However, the boil order remains in effect for other rural water systems in the area, including Bradley Country Rural Water, Southwest Rural Water, and Corinth Valley Rural Water systems. The Warren Water and Sewer department is currently coordinating with these systems to restore proper chlorine residuals and begin necessary testing. The boil orders for these systems will only be lifted after the ADH confirms the water is safe for consumption.

Boil Order Lifted for Warren Water and Sewer Only!

Warren Water and Sewer has lifted the boil order as of January 24th for Warren Water and Sewer customers only. Samples collected across the city have been tested by Arkansas Department of Health and have been found absent of bacteriological contamination.

Currently, the department is working with Bradley Country Rural Water, Southwest Rural Water, and Corinth Valley Rural Water systems to get chlorine residuals throughout those systems and begin testing. Boil orders for those systems will remain in effect until samples are tested and deemed safe by the Arkansas Department of Health.
