Lady Jacks Push Bulldogs to the Brink Before Falling Late

Breize Fellows led Warren with 14 points vs. Star City.

STAR CITY, Ark. – The Warren Lady Jacks gave the Star City Lady Bulldogs all they could handle on Tuesday night, keeping the contest tight through three quarters before ultimately dropping a 52-41 decision on the road.

This sports report is brought to you by:

Warren came out firing thanks to a hot start from Bayleigh Miller, who netted eight first-quarter points to help the Lady Jacks stay within striking distance, trailing 14-12 after the opening frame. The second quarter brought a flurry of offense from Breize Fellows, who piled up six points in that period alone. Warren remained just two points behind at halftime, 28-26.

A staunch defensive effort in the third quarter held Star City in check, and the Lady Jacks battled to a 34-34 tie heading into the fourth. Warren ultimately struggled to convert down the stretch. The Lady Bulldogs pulled away in the final minutes, leading to a final score that was not wholly reflective of the competitive nature of the game.

With the loss, Warren moves to 3-4 in conference play and 7-17 overall.
