Revitalize Hermitage Launches Fundraiser for Community Mural Project

HERMITAGE, Ark. – The nonprofit organization Revitalize Hermitage is working to bring a new mural to the town, highlighting the area’s agricultural heritage and industries. The project, spearheaded by muralist Erin Ashcraft of Monticello, aims to preserve history and culture while inspiring positive change in the community.

The mural, which will be painted on the end of the tomato shed facing U.S. Highway 63, will feature a variety of fruits and vegetables, including Hermitage’s well-known tomatoes. Additionally, the region’s forestry and poultry industries will be represented in the artwork.

To bring the project to life, Revitalize Hermitage is seeking funding support. The estimated cost of the mural is $10,000, and while grants have been pursued, additional monetary donations are needed. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all contributions to the project are tax-deductible.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at three levels:

  • Bronze ($100 or less) – Includes one acknowledgment post on Revitalize Hermitage’s Facebook page.
  • Silver ($101-$500) – Includes two acknowledgment posts.
  • Gold ($501 and above) – Includes three acknowledgment posts and ribbon-cutting recognition at the mural’s grand opening.

Donations can be made by cash or check, payable to Revitalize Hermitage, Inc. Contributions can be given to any organization member, mailed to Leah McIntyre at 1776 Hwy. 278 W, Monticello, AR, or deposited at Commercial Bank.

Revitalize Hermitage encourages community members and local businesses to support the mural project, which aligns with their mission to restore, beautify, and promote economic growth in the town.
