Warren found ways to reach base in every inning, collecting nine hits on the night and showing the depth of their batting order. Charlee Wardlaw and Raeleigh Milton each turned in 2-for-3 performances, while Haven Johnson led off the game with a double and went 2-for-4 overall. Blythe Calloway reached in both of her plate appearances, and Natalie Hargrave, Breize Fellows, and Bayleigh Miller each added a hit.

The Lady Jacks also showed grit on defense. In the bottom of the first inning, Bayleigh Miller and Charlee Wardlaw teamed up for a perfect relay that cut down a Star City runner at the plate to end the inning and prevent further damage. The defense settled in late, holding the Lady Bulldogs scoreless over the final two frames, including a quick 1-2-3 sixth inning.

While Warren wasn’t able to bring runners across the plate, the team consistently created opportunities—loading the bases in the fifth inning and getting the leadoff runner aboard in multiple frames.

The Lady Jacks will now look ahead to their next challenge as they travel to Woodlawn on Monday, April 21. First pitch is set for 5:00 p.m.
