Warren, Arkansas – COVID cases have increased dramatically in Bradley County in the last 24 hours as 218 active cases were reported Thursday, January 13, 2022 according to the Arkansas Department of Health’s COVID website.
Just three days ago Bradley County was reporting 109 cases, and while those numbers have climbed in recent days, Thursdays jump marks an increase not seen to this point in the latest surge.
Statewide numbers continue to grow at an exponential rate. Arkansas reported 12,990 new cases Thursday alone.
According to the latest update, 58.8 percent of eligible residents in Bradley County have been fully vaccinated, with 11.3 percent having received partial vaccination status. Arkansas lags behind in comparison with just 53.6 percent of Arkansans eligible having been fully vaccinated.
79,346 people across the state are now actively battling COVID. Since the pandemic began, 653,789 people have been infected. Across Arkansas 9,390 people have died, a population roughly comparable to that of Bradley County.
