WARREN, Ark. – The Warren Public Library, in partnership with the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, will host a two-day “Babysitting Basics” course this summer aimed at preparing young teens to become responsible babysitters.
Scheduled for June 5 and 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day, the workshop is open to youth ages 12 and older who are interested in learning safe, research-based babysitting practices.
The course will cover essential topics designed to equip participants with the knowledge and confidence needed to provide quality care to children. The cost is $10, which includes snacks and all necessary materials.
Registration is required by May 27. To sign up, parents or guardians can call 870-226-8410.
Organizers encourage early registration due to limited space and emphasize the importance of equipping young babysitters with safety knowledge and skills before they begin watching younger children.
