WARREN, Ark. — Families with young children are invited to a special free literacy event on Saturday, May 17, as Arkansas PBS brings its “Read to Succeed” program to both Warren and Hermitage.

The event is designed for families with children from birth through second grade and includes a free meal, family-friendly activities, and take-home literacy resources. Each child will receive a book, and families will enjoy a fun group reading of Potato Pants! by Laurie Keller, followed by an interactive activity.

Two locations and times are available:

  • Warren Branch Library – 11:00 a.m.
  • Hermitage Community Center – 4:00 p.m.

Attendees must register by May 15 to participate. Registration can be completed by scanning the QR code on event flyers or visiting this link.

Organizers remind participants that parents or guardians must stay with their children throughout the event for safety and supervision.

This community initiative is made possible through a partnership between Arkansas PBS, Jessica Griffin (Local Early Childhood Lead for Bradley County), U of A Partners, Child Care Aware, the Pilot Prevention Program at Warren, and Bradley County Parent Voice.
