Rotarian Tiffany Wargo presented the program for her husband and fellow Rotarian Mark Wargo. Tiffany, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at the BCMC Rural Health Clinic, spoke about the importance of mental health and touched on how important it is. She also talked about how some physical conditions can be tied to poor mental health, even though people may think they are purely physical and not consider how their mental health impact them. She had every person write down on a postcard how they were feeling today. Then she had them write down a few things including a song that makes you feel good, a favorite quote, what you do to reset (walking, cooking, breathing exercises, etc.), a person or people you can talk to, and more as a part of their personal Mental Health First Aid Kit, which they can refer to when the need arises. She talked about this Mental Health First Aid Kit and how it can help you through some of the tough times. She ended the program by answering a few questions from the group.
