Clara Mae Williams, 82, of Warren, passed away July 8, 2025. Born September 23, 1942, to Johnny and Richola Williams. Clara received her early education from Vaster School in Moscow, Arkansas.
Clara accepted Christ as her Saviour at an early age at Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Moscow, AR. She joined College Height Church of Christ in 1997, where she served as a faithful member.
Clara inherited the hobby of fishing from her mother. She loved fishing and took part every chance she got. She was an excellent cook, her specialty were deserts, coconut & jelly cakes, peach cobblers and sweet potato pies. She would also make delicious squash & bread dressing during holidays and family functions. She gave herself by cooking for her family, friends and her church family. Another passion of hers was working and taking care of the elderly.
Clara was also known for her jazzy clothing attire and her collections of wigs. She loved her vast collection of wigs in which she had so many different colors, she wore a different wig for every outfit.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Richola Williams; siblings, Hollis Scott Jr., Robert Williams, Lee Etta Green, Alice Stean Johnson; two sons, Arthur Stewart and John Wesley Jackson Jr.
She is survived by three sons, Rodney Jackson (Kenyette) of Warren, AR., Frederick Jackson of Little Rock, AR, Travis Williams of Atlanta, GA; three daughters, Norma J. Harding (Stacy), Vivian Harris both of Warren, AR, Delisa Ray (Frank) of Virginia; seven siblings, James Williams (Mamie), Clarence Williams, Rosetta Long, Elaine Green (Randy) all of Pine Bluff, AR, Floyd Williams of Little Rock, AR, Donny R. Williams of Florrisant,
MO, Laverne Price (Ricky) of Allen, TX; twenty-nine grandchildren, fifty-six great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors.
Funeral service was held July 18 at West Central Church of Christ in Warren, AR with Brother Jamie Rochell officiating. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
