WARREN, Ark. – Bradley County and much of southern Arkansas are currently under a “Moderate” wildfire danger level, according to an update shared by the Bradley County Rural Fire Department on Monday morning.

The wildfire danger map, published at 7:27 a.m. on August 4, shows a large portion of southern Arkansas counties, including Bradley, Cleveland, Drew, Ashley, Calhoun, Union, and several others, shaded in yellow—indicating moderate fire risk. The post noted, “Moderate: Fire can start from accidental causes. May not become serious, but caution should be taken.”
While no counties are currently under a burn ban, the Arkansas Department of Agriculture advises that residents in moderate danger zones remain vigilant, especially when using fire outdoors for activities like grilling, debris burning, or operating equipment that could spark flames.
The reminder serves as a caution as dry conditions persist across parts of southern Arkansas during the peak of summer. Residents are encouraged to monitor local conditions and stay informed about any changes to burn regulations, which can be issued by county judges based on fire risk assessments.
