Warren reminds residents of dog ordinance and responsibilities

WARREN, Ark. – The City of Warren is reminding residents that city ordinance prohibits dogs from roaming free within the city limits.

All dogs must be kept in pens with suitable shelter from the elements, and each household is limited to four adult dogs. Owners are responsible for providing a safe and healthy environment for their animals, ensuring veterinary care as needed, and keeping their pets vaccinated annually.

Violations of the ordinance can result in citations, court appearances, and fines. Dogs must be kept in a pen or maintained on a leash when outside. While there is no leash law for cats, owners can be held liable for any damage their cats cause to neighboring properties. Cats should be vaccinated and spayed.

For more information about the ordinance, contact Warren City Hall at 870-226-6743.
