WARREN, Ark. – The Warren Lumberjack Booster Club’s annual Meet the Lumberjacks event packed the fellowship hall of Immanuel Baptist Church Thursday evening, as the community gathered to support the Lumberjack football team ahead of the 2025 season.
Football Fans Fill the Hall
This year’s event marked a record turnout, with Union Bank providing and grilling more than 400 hamburgers for players, families, and fans. The meal was followed by silent and live auctions, which featured donated items and spirited bidding, all raising money to support the high school football program.

Volunteers and Sponsors Step Up
The Booster Club credited Union Bank, Immanuel Baptist Church, and a long list of volunteers — including Dena Jennings, Missy Wardlaw, Virginia, Haley, and Fran — for making the evening a success. Recognition also went to Randy Rawls, Phillip Hall, Mayor Gregg Reep, and Mike Nichols for their contributions.
Team Meets Its Supporters
The Lumberjack football players were the highlight of the evening, mingling with the crowd, posing for photos, and sharing conversations about the upcoming season. The event gave fans the opportunity to meet this year’s roster up close before the Jacks take the field for their first appearance of the season — a home scrimmage against McGehee on Aug. 22 at 6 p.m.
Building Spirit for the Season
The Booster Club described the event as “a fun night” and expressed gratitude to everyone who donated and purchased auction items. “This enables us to support our student athletes,” organizers said. “Now let’s go play football!”
