LITTLE ROCK – The recent auction of tax-delinquent properties in Drew and neighboring counties raised over $384,000, the Commissioner of State Lands announced.
The regional auction drew 79 registered bidders, who purchased 126 of 176 available parcels for $384,792.98. Results were as follows:
Drew County:16 parcels offered; 15 parcels sold; $91,099.76 total; $19,384.04 taxes collected
Lincoln County:18 parcels offered; 15 parcels sold; $45,450.32 total; $8,470.15 taxes collected
Cleveland County: 9 parcels offered; 7 parcels sold; $69,506.55 total; $6,099.31 taxes collected
Bradley County: 15 parcels offered; 12 parcels sold; $46,361.00 total; $12,992.64 taxes collected
Ashley County: 33 parcels offered; 28 parcels sold; $76,028.36 total; $24,038.03 taxes collected
Chicot County: 69 parcels offered; 35 parcels sold; $47,569.99 total; $13,036.71 taxes collected
Desha County: 16 parcels offered; 14 parcels sold; $8,777.00 total; $4,436.00 taxes collected
The auctions offered real estate parcels with taxes delinquent since 2020.
“Most owners redeem their property by paying the delinquent taxes; we only auction a fraction of the parcels certified for delinquent taxes,” Commissioner Tommy Land said. “Of course, we hope property is redeemed if the owners want to keep it, but it is vital that the parcels return to the county’s active tax rolls.”
The COSL office disburses taxes and interest to the county, whether that money is collected through redemption or sale.
“Last year, the Commissioner of State Lands Office sent more than $18.7 million to school districts and county governments,” Land said. “Of that, $438,150.35 went to these seven counties, helping fund everything from roads to schools.”

Drew County: $63,382.96
Lincoln County: $31,317.54
Cleveland County: $19,530.76
Bradley County: $33,821.18
Ashley County: $ 128,641.97
Chicot County: $ 92,724.94
Desha County: $ 68,731.00
Auction sales are final.
Unsold parcels may be redeemed online at www.cosl.org, using a credit or debit card, or owners can call 501-324-9422 to request a Petition to Redeem. Redemption does not grant ownership; it simply makes the taxes current.
Parcels that did not sell at the public auction will be available after 30 days and can be purchased through an online auction by viewing the Post-Auction Sales List at www.cosl.org.
