Emergency Burn Ban Issued for Bradley County

WARREN, Ark. – Bradley County has enacted an emergency burn ban effective immediately due to dry conditions and the heightened risk of wildfires.

In an order signed by Bradley County Judge Klay McKinney on Tuesday, August 19, the court directed that “a burn ban is issued for Bradley County” and instructed all residents to refrain from outdoor burning until further notice.

The order states that the action was necessary because of “dry conditions and extreme fire hazards.” It emphasizes that the ban will only be lifted by written order once weather and moisture conditions improve.

Judge McKinney noted the importance of public cooperation, writing, “The Cooperation of everybody in Bradley County is urgently needed to prevent destruction and injury by outdoor fires during this dangerous period.”

The county urges residents to take the order seriously and avoid all outdoor burning activities until the ban is lifted.
