Kamanda Michell Marks, 1970-2025

Kamanda Michell Marks, 54, of Warren, passed away September 14, 2025. Born October 28, 1970, to Willie Lee Marks and the late Marilyn Sue Brown Marks. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother,

great-grandmother, and friend whose life touched countless others.

From an early age, Kamanda’s vibrant personality was evident. She was full of life, energy and joy. Her laughter was one of her greatest gifts, it was the kind of laughter that filled a room and lifted spirits. Whether it was a gathering, a friendly conversation on the porch or just an ordinary day, Kamanda had a way of making every moment feel special. Her ability to bring joy to others was a true reflection of the love she carried in her heart.

Kamanda lived her life with purpose and with no regrets. She believed that happiness could always be found in the simple things, music that stirred the soul or time spent with the people she loved. If there was music playing, you could almost always find her moving to the rhythm, smiling and encouraging others to join in the fun. She valued laughter, connection, and togetherness and these values shined through in everything she did.

Kamanda is survived by her two children, Jasmine Marks, Khadijah Marks; her father, Willie Marks (Gloria); grandchildren, Jayden Jones, Kaidyn King, Jaelyn Shepard; great grandson, Jaylin Jones; siblings, Beverly Brown, Tommy Marks, Katrina Davis; step siblings, Anita, Michael, Wayne, Lisa; a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial service was held September 20 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Warren. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
