STUTTGART, Ark. – The Warren High School golf team turned in a strong performance Tuesday, finishing as runner-up in the 4A-8 District Tournament at Stuttgart Country Club.

The Lumberjacks came up just one stroke short of the tournament host, Stuttgart Ricebirds, to secure second place overall. The finish also clinches Warren’s spot in the 4A State Tournament, set for October 7 in Bella Vista.

Individually, two Lumberjacks landed in the top three. Rett McGaha placed second, while Rhett Clanton earned third.

The Lumberjacks will now shift their focus to state competition, where they’ll represent District 8 against the top teams from across Arkansas.
