JONESBORO, Ark. – 10-2-25 — Arkansas State University held its Summer 2025 Commencement ceremony in Jonesboro, celebrating graduates from across the country and abroad. Among those recognized was Mary Dean Gardner of Hermitage, the sole graduate listed from Bradley County.
Gardner earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, joining the ranks of healthcare professionals prepared through A-State’s nationally recognized nursing program. The degree represents years of dedication and study, and her achievement was highlighted in the university’s official graduation announcement.
ASU officials noted that the summer class included graduates from 41 states and multiple countries, but Gardner’s accomplishment stood out locally as a proud milestone for Bradley County.
