WARREN, Ark. – Former Warren High School basketball players and supporters gathered recently at the Warren Country Club for a special reunion honoring teams coached by George Jones in the early 1970s.
The event served as an informal “basketball reunion of sorts,” bringing together familiar faces who shared stories and memories from their time on and around the Lumberjack hardwood.
Among those attending were Chip Hairston, Dr. Kerry Pennington, Coach George Jones, Tommy Mitchell, David Taylor, Petie Woodard, Steve Halley, Gary Thornton, Otis Young, Robert Green, Steve Lipton, Jimmy Haygood, Bob Milton, Skip Milton, and Scott Richardson.
The group enjoyed a meal and reminisced about their playing days under Coach Jones, celebrating a memorable era in Warren High School basketball history.
