WARREN, Ark. – A public dedication ceremony honoring the newly planted gingko trees in downtown Warren has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 26, at 11 a.m. The event will take place in front of Warren Bank and Trust.
The ceremony will recognize the ongoing project to restore tree canopy and natural beauty to the city’s downtown corridor. Last month, Bemis Tree Farm began installing young gingko trees in designated areas where damaged or diseased townscape trees were previously removed.
The trees are being donated by Maribeth Frazer in memory of her late son, John Frazer III. Wednesday’s ceremony will formally dedicate the project and acknowledge the family’s contribution to revitalizing the heart of the city.
Gingko trees, known for their fan-shaped leaves and vibrant golden fall color, are among the most resilient urban tree species. Their durability and long lifespan make them well-suited for the challenges of downtown environments, including compact soil and heavy foot traffic.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony. City leaders, representatives from Warren Bank and Trust, and the Frazer family are expected to be present. The project will continue until all trees are in place.
