In round two of the Drew Central Holiday Tournament sponsored by Commercial Bank, Warren delivered another composed, high-level performance, pulling away from Monticello for a 51–41 victory to improve to 15–1 on the season. It was a win defined not by any single run or standout moment, but by steady execution, shared responsibility, and an unshakable calm whenever momentum threatened to shift.
Monticello opened the game with an early 5–0 burst, but Warren answered without panic. Alyssa Calbert sparked the response with consecutive field goals, while Bayleigh Miller followed with assertive play that helped the Lady Jacks seize a 7–5 lead. From there, Warren closed the first quarter with purpose, outscoring Monticello 14–4 over the final stretch to take a 14–9 advantage.

The second quarter brought the most adversity Warren would face all night. Monticello strung together an 8-point run to briefly take a 19–16 lead, forcing the Lady Jacks to regroup. The response was immediate. Miller knocked down four straight free throws, Charlee Wardlaw added a timely basket, and Warren carried a 28–23 lead into halftime.
The third quarter was where Warren began to separate. Calbert opened the half with a three-pointer, stretching the margin and setting the tone. Miller continued to attack, Breize Fellows finished efficiently around the basket, and Wardlaw made her presence felt on both ends as Warren pushed the lead to 43–32 heading into the fourth.
Monticello made one last push early in the final period, trimming the deficit with a 6-point run, but Warren maintained control. Khourtni Johnson delivered key interior baskets and rebounds, Fellows added timely scoring, and the Lady Jacks closed the game with discipline to secure the win.

Miller led all scorers with 16 points, shooting 5-of-14 from the field and 6-of-8 at the free-throw line. Calbert followed with 12 points on an efficient 4-of-9 night, including the critical third-quarter three. Fellows added 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting, while Johnson’s seven points and work on the glass proved vital during Monticello’s late push.
The Lady Jacks, coached by Mary Beth Grant, advance to the championship game of the Drew Central Holiday Tournament, scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Drew Central. Warren will face the winner of Monday night’s matchup between Dermott and Drew Central.
