Betty Steelman-Clements, age 90, passed away on December 30, 2025. Betty Lorice King was born on December 10, 1935 to Willis King and Amy (Sessions) King. She married the late, Freddy Eugene Williams, Sr (passed Aug 16, 1966) and shared children Cynthia Anne and Freddy Eugene Williams Jr. On June 1, 1968 she married the late Buck Calbert Steelman, Buck legally adopted Cindy and Gene Jr. Buck passed away Aug 23, 2005. Then later she married the late Clyde H. Clements, on Sept 15, 2006. (passed July 13, 2015)
Preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Ervin King, Ruby Golden, Ruthie Calloway, Dorothy Boykin, Audrey Herron, Ora Clanton, Patsy Adcock. And her grandson, Rueben Paul Carter.
Survivors include her daughter Cynthia Smith, and spouse Charles, of Harrison, AR. Son Freddy Eugene Williams, Jr (Gene), and spouse Kimberly Williams of the Austin, Texas area, and grandchildren Taylor Williams, Steelman Williams and great-grandson Jameson all from the Austin, Texas area. Her sister Helen Castleberry., and her Loyal Companion of 4 years, Burl Kimbrell. She will be laid to rest between Freddy Eugene Williams Sr and Buck Steelman.
She was a loving wife, amazing mom, fun and loving friend. She enjoyed skiing, bowling and tennis in her early years. Later in life decided to sing publicly at a local Friday night gathering. She discovered she really enjoyed entertaining through music.
Funeral services 1:30PM Thursday, January 1st 2026 at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Burial in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation 12:30PM till service time on Thursday at Frazer’s Chapel.
