HERMlTAGE, Ark. — The Hermitage School District will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, because of dangerous winter weather conditions affecting the area.

District officials said freezing temperatures, sleet, ice, a winter mix and hazardous road conditions prompted the decision to close schools for the day in the interest of student and staff safety.

“We are monitoring conditions closely and will provide timely updates regarding when school may safely resume,” Superintendent LaDonna Spain said in a statement.

The district encouraged families and staff to remain safe and warm during the period of extreme winter weather.

Official Hermitage School District closure announcements and updates will be shared through local news outlets, the district website and district social media channels.
