Warren School District to remain closed Tuesday as icy conditions persist

WARREN, Ark. — The Warren School District will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, due to hazardous road conditions following the recent winter storm.

Schools were already closed on Monday as sleet and ice created unsafe travel conditions across much of the area. Road conditions remain hazardous, prompting the district to extend the closure through Tuesday.

Forecasts call for a warming trend during the day Tuesday, which could allow ice and sleet to begin melting by Tuesday evening, though that will depend on temperatures developing as expected.

Saline River News will continue to share any updates from the district regarding reopening plans or schedule changes.
