HERMITAGE, Ark. — Hermitage School District will be closed on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, due to lingering ice, freezing temperatures and hazardous road conditions following the recent winter storm.
The closure was announced by Superintendent LaDonna Spain in a notice sent to parents and media Tuesday afternoon. District officials said conditions remain unsafe for travel as crews continue to monitor roads impacted by ice.
Students and staff are encouraged to stay safe and warm while conditions improve. The district will continue monitoring weather and road conditions and will share updates as soon as school can safely resume.
