Lady Jacks Stay Perfect in 8-4A With Second Win Over Watson Chapel

PINE BLUFF, Ark. — The Warren Lady Jacks delivered one of their biggest wins of the season Friday night, knocking off Watson Chapel 61-54 on the road to complete a season sweep of the Lady Wildcats and remain unbeaten in conference play.

Warren improved to 22-2 overall and 5-0 in 8-4A action, earning its second victory this season over a Watson Chapel team that has proven to be one of the league’s toughest opponents. Winning away from home only added to the significance of the result.

The game featured constant momentum swings early. Warren got off to a strong start in the first quarter behind Breize Fellows, who scored six points as the Lady Jacks built a 13-10 lead. In the second quarter, Warren briefly pushed its advantage to 24-14 before Watson Chapel answered with a decisive scoring run to pull even. The teams went into halftime locked in a 26-26 tie.

Watson Chapel seized control early in the third quarter with a seven-point run, but Warren never let the game slip away. Bayleigh Miller took charge during the period, scoring 10 points to keep the Lady Jacks within one heading into the fourth quarter at 41-40.

The final quarter belonged to Warren. Miller knocked down two clutch three-pointers, including the go-ahead basket that put the Lady Jacks up 47-44 for good. Fellows followed with a momentum-shifting three of her own, and Livi McKinney provided critical scoring and toughness inside as Warren closed the game out down the stretch.

Miller led all scorers with 25 points, while Fellows added 13 points. McKinney finished with eight points and made key contributions on both ends of the floor, with Alyssa Calbert and Khourtni Johnson rounding out a balanced team effort. Warren’s depth and composure in the final minutes proved decisive in a hostile environment.

With the win, the Lady Jacks sit firmly atop the 8-4A standings as mid-February approaches. Warren will return home Tuesday night to host Star City, looking to keep its conference perfect record intact.
