Thomas Belton McCarty, 91, of the Valley Community, passed away March 1, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 13, 1935 to Oscar and Gertie Brown McCarty in Possum Valley, AR. He was a retired millwright from International Paper in Pine Bluff, AR. He loved hunting, fishing, feeding and watching wildlife. He also enjoyed traveling.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Aleta Grice McCarty, his parents Oscar and Gertie Brown McCarty, two daughters Beverly McCarty and Tanya Squires, one granddaughter Brandy Elliot, and one great-granddaughter Paige Taylor.
He is survived by three daughters, Teresa Howell of Pine Bluff, AR, Pam Allison and husband Tim of Fountain Hill, AR and Susan Potts of Monticello, AR and 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, and a special friend Barbara Parnell and a host of nieces and nephews.
