WARREN — The Junior Auxiliary of Warren has announced the cancellation of its upcoming Cornhole Tournament due to a lack of team registrations, but organizers say the evening will still move forward with a family-friendly event for the community.
According to a social media post from the organization, not enough teams signed up to support the tournament portion of the event, leading to its cancellation. However, the group is encouraging residents to still attend a free movie night scheduled for the same evening.
The event will take place Saturday, March 21, at 5 p.m. at the YMCA. Organizers invite families to bring children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to enjoy a relaxed evening featuring a movie and free popcorn.
The Junior Auxiliary noted that the event offers an opportunity for families to spend time together and enjoy a night out in the community despite the change in plans.
