HERMITAGE, Ark. – A local effort to support families in need is gaining attention as community members respond to a call for help from the Blessing Box in Hermitage.
According to a social media post from Deanna Smith, the Blessing Box — a community resource that provides essential items to those in need — is currently running low on supplies.
“The Blessing Box in Hermitage is sending out a call for support, and I’m answering with hope – let’s come together to uplift students and families in need,” Smith wrote.
Smith noted that she recently helped restock the box with several bags of essential items but found that only a small number of supplies remained.
“Let’s make a difference by spreading kindness and supplying them with much-needed resources – I’ll be shopping for donations tomorrow,” Smith wrote. “If you’re feeling generous and have extras to share, consider stopping by to contribute some supplies.”
The Blessing Box is located beside the Hermitage Library entrance, behind First Financial Bank (1st State Bank), near what was formerly the community room.
Community members wishing to help can donate non-perishable food items, hygiene products, and other essential supplies directly to the box.
