WARREN, Ark. — Rhett Clanton, a senior at Warren High School, was awarded the 2026 Sam Clanton Memorial Foundation Scholarship on May 6.
This marks the fifth annual scholarship awarded by the Sam Clanton Memorial Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. The scholarship is open to senior applicants from both Warren High School and Hermitage High School.
The scholarship is awarded in memory of the late Sam Clanton of Hermitage, who passed away in July 2020. It is intended for students who plan to continue their education after high school in a trade field or by majoring in agriculture at a four-year university.
After graduation, Rhett plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where he will pursue a degree in forestry while also being a member of the collegiate golf team.
Each year, a scholarship committee reviews applications and selects a recipient based on academic excellence, financial need and essay response.
Congratulations to Rhett Clanton on receiving the 2026 Sam Clanton Memorial Foundation Scholarship.
