HERMITAGE, Ark. — Hermitage EAST students recently participated in a Build-A-Bear Workshop led by Cheryl Watkins, giving students a hands-on opportunity to learn new sewing skills while creating their own stuffed bears.
During the workshop, students learned how to use a sewing machine, follow a pattern and complete their bears from start to finish. The activity combined creativity with practical skill-building as students worked through each step of the project.
Watkins also donated a sewing machine and materials to help students continue building and creating in the classroom. Kandy Watkins donated an additional sewing machine to support the students and the EAST program.
The Hermitage School District thanked both donors for investing their time, talents and resources into helping students learn new skills.
