Wombat Burger Named Arkansas Best Burger by the Arkansas Beef Council

DELIGHT, AR — The Arkansas Beef Council today announced that the winner of the 3rd Annual Arkansas Best Burger Contest is the Wombat Burger from Eoff’s Food Trailer in Delight, Arkansas. This statewide competition celebrates Arkansas restaurants and their commitment to using 100% beef in crafting their burgers.
The contest received 3,249 nominations from across the state during the April 1–30 nomination period, the highest participation in the contest’s history. Five regional finalists were selected based on total nominations:Region 1: Local Wagyu Burger, The Ozark Farmhouse, ClintonRegion 2: Double Burger, The Little Blue Market, PocahontasRegion 3: Wombat Burger, Eoff’s Food Trailer, DelightRegion 4: Bubba Burger, Momma’s Diner, Pine BluffRegion 5: Bobby Burger, Bobby’s Cafe, North Little RockAmong the finalists, the Wombat Burger received the most nominations statewide. The burger includes two ground chuck patties, white and yellow cheese, grilled onions, sweet banana peppers, bacon, and a signature wombat sauce.
“Arkansas cattle producers are committed to excellence, and that commitment shows in every burger featured in this contest,” said Beef Council Chairman Caleb Plyler. ” Recognizing this year’s winner is a great reminder of the passion and craftsmanship behind Arkansas beef.”“We are excited to recognize this year’s Best Burger in conjunction with Governor Sanders proclaiming May as Arkansas Beef Month,” said Arkansas Secretary of Agriculture Wes Ward. “Arkansas restaurants continue to showcase the quality of our state’s beef, and this year’s winner is no exception. As we celebrate Arkansas Beef Month, we encourage everyone to visit Eoff’s Food Trailer to try the Wombat Burger and to support the cattle producers who make these accomplishments possible.” Since its launch, the contest has highlighted outstanding local restaurants across the state. Past champions include the Big Daddy Burger from Johnson’s Country Cookin’ in Melbourne and the Caveman Burger from Bailey’s Family Restaurant in Cave City. The Arkansas Beef Council is a producer-funded entity dedicated to strengthening the state’s beef industry through promotion, education, and research.
