Deborah ‘Debbie’ Whitaker, 1953-2026

Deborah “Debbie” Whitaker, age 72, of Crossett, Arkansas, died Saturday, June 6, 2026, at her home.

She was born July 19, 1953, in Lake Village, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Harold Whitaker and Barbara Whitaker Holton.

Debbie loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, her flowers, and spending time with Jesse. She was a homemaker, a Baptist, and a graduate of the Lake Village School System.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Dane Baucom, and a sister, Vickie Weidner.

Survivors include her daughter, Buffie Holton of Auburn, Massachusetts; her special friend, Jesse Huitt of Crossett; sisters, Wendie Mackey of Georgia, Tamie Murphy of Virginia, Sherrie Romedy of Florida, Sammie Wangland of Florida, and Jodi Reno of Florida; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at Union Hill Cemetery with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time Thursday at Union Hill Cemetery.
