The YMCA’s Back-to-School Bash last weekend drew a large crowd of children and families for an evening filled with activities, demonstrations and giveaways as the community celebrated the beginning of a new school year.
The event featured a wide variety of activities for children, including a climbing tower that gave participants a rock-climbing-style experience, along with bouncy houses and inflatable slides.
Local first responders were also heavily involved in the event. The Warren Fire Department was on hand providing demonstrations, while EASI, the local ambulance service, also participated and gave demonstrations for those in attendance.
Representatives from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department and Warren Police Department were also present, giving families an opportunity to visit with local law enforcement officers during the event.
A large number of giveaways added to the excitement throughout the evening. Prizes included bicycles, televisions, laptops and numerous other items.
The event also featured a Baggo tournament, giving adults and older children another activity to enjoy during the gathering.
With a strong turnout and activities spread throughout the event, the Back-to-School Bash provided local families with an evening of entertainment while also bringing together community organizations, emergency personnel and area residents.
The event served as one final celebration of summer as students across the area prepared to return to the classroom for the 2026-27 school year.
