Two Warren High School EAST students recently traveled to Little Rock for hands-on training with drone technology.
Vincent Temple and Erik Alejandre attended EAST student training at the EAST Initiative on Tuesday, Oct. 6, where they learned how drones operate and gained experience flying them.
During the training, the students practiced controlling a drone while also learning about ways the technology can be put to use in their community.
The experience gave Temple and Alejandre an opportunity to develop new technical skills while exploring potential real-world applications for drone technology.
Warren High School described the training as an “amazing experience” for the students.
EAST, which stands for Environmental and Spatial Technology, provides students with opportunities to use technology, collaboration and problem-solving skills to develop projects that can benefit their schools and communities.
