The Woodlawn School District will kick off the upcoming basketball season with its Black and White Basketball Scrimmage on Thursday, November 5, 2026, beginning at 6 p.m.
The event will give fans an opportunity to get an early look at the Woodlawn Bears basketball teams while celebrating the start of a new season.
The evening’s activities will include introductions and performances by the junior high and senior high cheer squads, along with basketball scrimmages and player introductions.
The scheduled lineup includes:
- Junior high cheer introduction and performance
- Junior girls Black and White scrimmage
- Junior boys introduction
- Senior high cheer introduction and performance
- Senior girls basketball introductions
- Alumni basketball game
- Senior boys scrimmage
Admission is $3 per person, with children ages 5 and under admitted free.
The Woodlawn School District is encouraging families, students, alumni, and community members to attend, show their Bear pride, and support the school’s basketball program as the new season gets underway.
