Robert L. Green Jr., 62, of Monticello, passed away October 23, 2026. Born August 30, 1964, to Nancy Green and the late Robert L. (Jack) Green Sr.
Robert was a man of strong will, independent spirit, and a classic, sarcastic humor that defined his unforgettable personality. A proud 1983 graduate of Hermitage High School, he went on to carve out his own path in life, doing things entirely his own way. He dedicated many years to the logging industry before following his entrepreneurial drive to become a truck driver and the proud owner of Green Trucking LLC.
Whether he was running his business or working on his beloved Dodge Rams, Robert approached everything with a hard-headed determination and a bold presence – he was truly something serious,
and if you knew him, you knew you couldn’t tell him much. Though health challenges eventually forced him to step away from the road, his unmistakable laugh and vibrant character never waned. He
leaves behind a legacy of hard work and authenticity, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
