HERMITAGE, Ark. — The City of Hermitage is inviting contestants to celebrate the holiday season with the 2026 Hermitage Spirit of Christmas Pageant, scheduled for Saturday, December 5, at the Hermitage Community Center.
The pageant will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the community center, located at 416 South Hickory Street in Hermitage.
The Christmas-themed competition will feature several age divisions, ranging from infants to young adults. Categories include Baby Miss, Baby Mr., Tiny Miss, Tiny Mr., Toddler Miss, Little Miss, Petite Miss, Junior Miss, Teen Miss and Miss.
Unlike traditional pageants, contestants will not be required to wear formal pageant dresses. Instead, participants are encouraged to dress in Christmas-themed attire, including holiday dresses, Sunday best, party dresses, casual clothing or other festive outfits.
Each division will participate in a group lineup followed by individual walks across the stage.
Contestants in the Petite Miss and Junior Miss divisions will draw and answer a Christmas-related question on stage, although their responses will not count against them in judging. Teen Miss and Miss contestants will also answer questions drawn from a prepared list.
A winner, first runner-up and second runner-up will be selected in each division. An optional photogenic competition will also be offered, with a photogenic winner selected for each division. Pageant winners are encouraged to participate in the Hermitage Christmas Parade.
The registration fee is $30 per contestant, with an additional $10 fee for those entering the photogenic competition. Photographs for the optional competition must be between 4-by-6 and 8-by-10 inches and submitted by 9:00 a.m. on the morning of the pageant.
The deadline to register is November 23, 2026.
