In Rison, a large vendor hub was setup at Rison’s Pioneer Village. Multiple sellers conducted business outside, while even more lined the walls of the Pioneer Village’s warehouse space. Clothes, antique books, toys, and even arts and crafts were available for purchase. One shopper that arrived Thursday morning at the Rison section said that she looks forward to the event each year. “It’s something I simply don’t miss.”

Many of the stops along the way were single resident sales. One such sale was on Highway 35 just southeast of Rison near the small community of Toledo. MJ’s Junk, a roadside seller, was open for business. They were offering antique furniture, glassware, and more. One of the operator’s of MJ’s Junk said things had been quite busy Thursday morning. “We’ve had a steady stream of traffic.”

The Highway 35 Junk Hunt continues Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12, no matter the weather according to organizers. You can follow the event on Facebook.
