Pope goes the distance in Lumberjack win over Watson Chapel

WARREN, Ark. – After days of rain, the sunshine was out, creating some great baseball weather as the Warren Lumberjack baseball team beat Watson Chapel in a nail biter by the final of 2-1 Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

The game was scoreless until the fourth inning when Creed Smith hit a sacrifice fly and scored Westin Hargrave. In the fifth, Delfino Rivera drove in Kolby Pope to put Warren ahead 2-0.

Watson Chapel threatened in the seventh, but could only come up with one run. Pope finished out the game on the mound, pitching a complete seven, as Warren won 2-1.
