Lizzie Jane Best, 1939-2021

Lizzie Jane Best, age 82 of Ingalls, AR died Sunday, September 12th, 2021 at her home. She was born Sunday, March 12th, 1939 in Vick, AR a daughter of the late Oscar Huitt and Lola Bea Baker Huitt. She was a housewife and homemaker, Lizzie Jane was known all over south Arkansas for her jelly making, her preserves and her quilting. She was faithful member of the Eagle Lake Crossroads Baptist Church and a graduate of the Vick School system. Also preceding her in death was her husband Joe Best, whom she married September 29th, 1956 and he died March 5th, 2002. Brothers Royce Wilford Huitt and Jimmy Huitt and her sister Madge Huitt York have all proceeded her in death.

Lizzie Jane is survived by her sons, Billie Joe Best, Blytheville, AR, and Tommy Best and spouse Kristy, Hermitage, AR. A God son Tim Moran, Crossett, AR. Daughters Susan Best, Hermitage, AR, Lisa Corker and spouse Billy Ray, Godfrey Place, AR. and Rebecca McKenzie and spouse Bobby, Ingalls, AR. Brother J. O. Huitt, Ingalls, AR. 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 2:00PM Wednesday, September 15th at Frazer’s Chapel with Bro. Michael Griffith and Bro. Tim Williams officiating. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Joe Best, Adam Best, Wesley Best, Max Gregory, Mason Gregory, Heath Mashburn, Joshua Copeland and Tim Moran. Honorary pallbearers were nephews.
