Theodore Roosevelt “Pistol” Hampton, 1953-2021

Theodore Roosevelt “Pistol” Hampton, 68, of Warren, died November 14, 2021. Born July 3, 1953, he was a son of the late Roosevelt and Susie B. Hampton. He joined Greater Hampton Chapel AME Church at an early age. He attended Hermitage School District.

He was united in holy matrimony to Nancy Sue Marks on January 6, 1989. To their union four children were born.

He was also preceded in death by two children, April, Margaretta; siblings Chester Hampton, James Hampton, Bessie Terry and Estella Harris.

Theodore is survived by his wife, Nancy Sue Hampton; children, Christopher Marks (Melissa), Mary Hampton both of Warren; siblings, Fredrick Hampton (Priscilla), Tyron Hampton, Quinzola Wiley (Marvin), Marietta Hampton; bonus son, Roosevelt Mata of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Khandajah Marks, LaKeydra Marks, Dazmine Marks, Martasia Miller, Demonte Thomas; six great-grandkids; uncle, Alfredia Hampton (Vera) of Johnsville; aunts, Ella B. Hampton, Mittie Hampton both of Warren, Bernice Hampton of Little Rock; special friends, Lancie Harris, Mark Miller, Don Gilbert, Gerry Thompson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service was November 20th at Antioch Cemetery in Johnsville with Rev. James Carroll officiating and Rev. Eddie Hampton Sr. eulogist. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
