Linda Bradley Nichols age 81, of Rye, AR died Sunday, June 19th, 2022. She was born Monday, February 10, 1941 in Bradley County, AR, a daughter of the late Marvin Bradley and Georgia McKinney Bradley. She was retired from the Southeast Arkansas Human Development Center for 27 years of service, she also served at the Bradley County Medical Center and worked at Jack Winters. She was a long-time member of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church, joining the church August 1, 1955, Linda has served the Lord through Harmony Church in several different directions. She served on the Sunday School Board, Children Song Director and as Teacher. She taught in Vacation Bible School and represented Harmony in the Saline Association Meeting numerous times. Linda began teaching at the age of 17, she was constantly looking for ways to do the Lord’s will, where ever it led her. Linda witnessed for Jesus with her labor given in God’s name.
She was a 1960 graduate of the Warren Public Schools and was also preceded in death by J. R. Bradley, Herbert Bradley, Mabel Johns, Joyce Ann Bradley, Merle Forrest, Beatrice Fontenot, Flossie Taylor, and Fannie Burks.
Surviving is her husband of 61 years, Charles Nichols, whom she married June 9th 1961, David Nichols and spouse Jeannelle, Rye, AR, Dewayne Adair and spouse Sherrion, Rye, AR, Thomas Bradley and spouse Helen, Rye, AR and James Bradley and spouse Eva, Rye, AR. Grandchildren Leslie Young and spouse Blake, Rye, AR and Derrick Nichols and spouse Katlin, Rye, AR. Great-grandchildren Isaac Young and Corban Young.
Funeral services were 10:00AM Thursday, June 23rd at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Richard Barley and Bro. Tim Foreman officiating. Soloists were Tim Taylor and Danny Williams. Pallbearers were Greg Bradley, Danny Ray Williams, Tim Taylor, Bob Taylor, Danny Adair and Brandon Forrest. Burial was at Union Cemetery at Rye, by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
