Thomas Richard Bradley, “Poppy”, 1929-2022

Thomas Richard Bradley, “Poppy”, age 93, went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2022 at his family home. He was born on March 3, 1929 in Bradley County, Arkansas to the late Marvin and Georgia McKinney Bradley. He was also preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.

He was a member of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church of Rye, Arkansas where he served as a deacon for thirty-six years. He was the founder of Thomas Bradley Hunting Club. As a retired tomato farmer, cattleman and logger, his passion was deer hunting, trapping hogs, fishing and spending time with family.

Surviving is his spouse, Mary Helen Rauls Bradley, whom he married December 13, 1952. They would have celebrated seventy years of marriage this year. Thomas is survived by one brother, James Bradley of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Other survivors include one son, Greg Bradley (Vickie) of Warren, Arkansas; two daughters, Debbie McClain (Ron) of Livingston, Texas and Diane Madden (Jim) of Benton, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Bruce McClain (Laurie), Matt McClain (Lindsey), Kristen McClain, Jennifer Brewer (John), Eric Hamilton (Mary), Courtney Sellers, Maggie Hughes (Justin); and twenty-four great-grandchildren.     

Funeral service was 10:00 am, Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Rye, Arkansas.
