A fire truck and other vehicles are in the dirt.

BANKS, Ark. – Three individuals were med-flighted to Little Rock after a crash involving a firetruck and a side-by-side ATV on Bradley 238 near Banks, a quarter of a mile north of Mobley Branch Monday, October 3, 2022 around 3:40 p.m. CST.

According to the official Arkansas Motor Vehicle Collision report, the driver of the firetruck was headed to a fire in the area with “instructions to look for an ATV driven†by someone “who knew where the fire was located.†The driver of the ATV stated she was headed south to meet the firetruck and was under the impression the firetruck was “going to wait for her on Bradley 16 so that she could lead it to the fire.†The two vehicles unfortunately met each other in a curve. The firetruck driver stated “that he slammed on his brakes as soon as he saw†the ATV “in the curve but it was too late.†He also said the vehicles came to rest in almost the exact place where the crash occurred.

One passenger was ejected upon impact, and all three of the ATV occupants were taken to the Bradley County Medical Center by EASI ambulance service. They were then each taken to Little Rock by helicopter to central Arkansas hospitals for further treatment.

No one in the firetruck sustained any injuries.
