Gene Lavoy Veazey, age 85 of Monticello, AR passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at The Woods of Monticello Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 1, 1937 in Warren, AR to the late Lavoisier Veazey and Willie Jeanette Martin Veazey. He was faithfully and honorably retired from the United States Air Force as a Technical Sergeant.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by sons; Gene Lavoy Veazey, II. “Bear” and Joey Veazey, brother; Ray Veazey and sisters; Vivian Ferrell and Mary Ellen James.
He is survived by his wife; Lola Veazey, son; Gene Lavoy Veazey, III. daughter; Carol Daaboul and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2022 at Frazer’s Funeral Home with Bro. Wayman Mann officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
