4A South Regional tournament wraps up after successful week of big crowds in town for games

WARREN, Ark. – The 4A South Regional Basketball Tournament finished up Saturday, February 25, 2023 with two Championship games held at Lumberjack Arena in front of a large crowd.

The Nashville Lady Scrappers were crowned the 4A South Regional Champs after defeating Star City 81-49.

The Magnolia Panthers won the 4A South Regional boys title after beating Watson Chapel in the final game of the night 53-44.

Warren School District Superintendent Bryan Cornish was on hand to present the runners-up and Championship plaques to each team.

The full tournament began Wednesday. A total of 16 teams participated in the Tournament across both the boys and girls brackets. The Warren Lumberjack basketball team lost to eventual winners Magnolia in the first round of the boys tournament. This was the first senior high tournament held at the new Lumberjack Arena.
