Shirley Rice Simmons, age 84, of Warren, Arkansas passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023. She was born January 14, 1939 in Bradley County, Arkansas to George and Beadie Cathey Rice. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Simmons, and siblings, Donny Ray Rice, Erma Denton, and Cornelia Williams.
She is survived by her son, Joe Gary Simmons and wife Rhonda of Warren, Arkansas; daughters, Carolyn Byrd and husband Robert of Warren, Arkansas and Teresa Taylor and husband Tim of Rye, Arkansas; grandchildren, Krystle Hays, Wendy Forrest, and Tasha Green; step-grandchildren, Toby Byrd and Dustin Byrd; and six great-grandchildren.
Officiating the service will be, Bro. Rocky Goodwin and Bro. Richard Barley. Vocalist will be Tim Taylor. Pallbearers are Joe Gary Simmons, Brandon Hays, Tyler Hays, Josh Hays, Randy Rice, and Danny Joe Young. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Byrd, Tim Taylor, Jerry Denton, Terry Williams, Timothy Forrest, and Bryson Forrest.

Funeral service was 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial was at Williams Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
