David Galen Ferguson, age 62, of Warren, AR passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at his mother’s home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 25, 1961, in Warren, AR to Willie Sue Ross and the late David Manuel (Pete) Ferguson. He was Christened into the Eastern Orthodox faith in 1994.
David had a great appreciation for music and had a talent in his voice and with the piano. He is a graduate of Warren High School where he gained accolades for his field commander performances in the high school band. In his early years his focus was on the musical group band he formed and later made a career for himself in the retail industry as a manager for Albertsons and Kroger. Life took him out of Warren, AR after he graduated high school to college in Arkadelphia, AR. His career sprinted through the mid 90’s and took him and his family to Texarkana, TX, Bossier City, LA and Nashville, TN.
David had a big warm heart and was loved by all that knew him. He loved to joke, visit with family, sing, dance and be goofy. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his two children, son, Mile Joseph Ferguson and daughter, Meghan Mirjana Ferguson, of Nashville, TN. His grandson, Giovanni Nemanja Ferguson also of Nashville, TN. The mother of his children, Susie Jerosimich-Ferguson; mother, Willie Sue Ross of Warren, AR; sisters, Mary Johnston (Jason) of Banks; Wanda Smith of Johnsville, AR; uncle, Terry Orr of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Manuel (Pete) Ferguson; stepfather Clyde Ross; sisters, Renay Ferguson, and Donna Ross; paternal grandparents Roscoe and Ellie Ferguson; maternal grandparents Joseph Terry and Virginia Orr. The children would like to extend a huge thank you and gratitude to their grandmother, Willie Sue Ross, and Mary Johnston for being by their father’s side until the end as well as to Hospice for all the hands-on work and dedication they gave in their father’s last days.
Graveside services were held 2:00PM Sunday, December 3rd 2023 at Oakland Cemetery. Burial in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 1:30 till service time at Oakland Cemetery.
