John Fields Wisener, age 69, of White Hall, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, January 17th, in Little Rock, Arkansas leaving behind a legacy of courage and strength.
John was a graduate of Warren High School, where he played for the Fighting Lumberjack football team. He attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and later graduated from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy. Dedicated to his community, John served as a police officer in Warren, Arkansas and also spent time working for the Arkansas Department of Corrections as a Parole Officer.
John and his wife, Brenda, were among the first 200 church members of Agape Church in Little Rock, Arkansas in the early 1980’s and later became founding members of the Lighthouse Church in Warren, Arkansas.
John was an outdoorsman and his passion was deer hunting. John was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and loved “calling the Hogs”. His last Razorback football game with his brother and nephews was a cherished highlight of all the Hog games.
John was a man with a gentle heart. He loved God and read his Bible daily. He was a servant of God, never turning away a friend or a stranger in need. Family and friends all say he had a heart of gold. What defined him most and made him the proudest is being Pops to his two granddaughters, Madison and McKenzie.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Wisener and Libby Hargis Wisener. Also preceding him in death is a son, Jonathan Christopher Wisener and a brother, James Wayne Wisener, Sr.
John is survived by his wife, Brenda Willis Wisener of White Hall, Arkansas; a daughter, Monica Welch, and spouse David, of White Hall, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Madison Welch and McKenzie Welch, both of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a sister, Judy Wisener Burns, of Little Rock, Arkansas, along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
